      I have been taking Vitamin D3 for several years. But I really like the Life Extension, because it has olive oil, and no magnesium stearate. I plan to continue taking it every day, since being in FL, I don't like being in the hot sun.

      I shattered my arm due to low Vitamin D3 and my calcium scans were fine. Unless you live outside, the Vitamin D3 5000 IU by Life Extension is a good dose and safe.

      I love Life Extension products. Vitamin D3 5,000 IU by Life Extension was good but could not tell if it was working. The only thing I could tell is how constipated it made me.

      I have taken this Vitamin D3 5000 IU by Life Extension product for the last 2 months and not once have I gotten sick this winter! This Vitamin D3 product by Life Extension provides 5,000 IU in the softgel. (Which I love because it is so easy to swallow.) We have had a cloudy winter, so I'm grateful this item was available and I believe it did an awesome job supporting my immune system. If you think 5,000 IU may be too much I would recommend taking 1 softgel every other day or just once a week even, but of course ask your doctor about that. However, the 'Liquid' Life Extension Vitamin D3 2,000 IU was recommended by my Naturopathic Doctor for increasing your vitamin D intake during the winter months. She says that 2,000 IU of Vitamin D3 is all you need a day.
